With an eye on the future, Gilmore continues to build a team of experienced individuals to drive the business forward with the addition of John Millican, Account Manager-Business Development.
John brings a wealth of experience to the Gilmore team through the energy market with over 14 years of sales and engineering in drilling control systems, subsea production systems and IWOCs services.
A strategic career with some of the largest OEM’s and Service companies; has afforded John insight into the technical requirements and quality demands for offshore and subsea hydraulic control systems, and how delivery and support for the components that make up these systems affects a project’s success.
“In today’s market, there is no tolerance for non-conformance. As the functional and performance demands for subsea production systems continue to expand, it is essential for suppliers to understand that product delivery must meet these requirements. High quality, durability and reliability are no longer premium, but rather the standard.”
As technology and exploration methods advance, Operators continue to optimize upstream operations to ensure capital efficiencies. With tightening budgets in today’s upstream Energy market, it is imperative that suppliers continue to deliver the highest quality product on time and within budget. System reliability, qualification testing and condition based maintenance are key factors to realize these goals.
Gilmore has been providing essential flow control solutions to the Energy upstream sector for over half a century for a variety of topside and subsea control systems including Hydraulic Power Units, production control and hydraulic distribution, Intervention Control systems, wellhead controls and High Integrity Pressure Protection Systems (HIPPS). Gilmore control valves are qualified beyond industry requirements to ensure reliable performance in the harshest conditions.
In addition to growing Gilmore’s presence in production control systems, John’s focus is on discovering markets beyond upstream O&G and developing opportunities for Gilmore flow control products to improve system performance and reliability while reducing overall costs. “Without compromising our commitment to the upstream energy business, diversifying our products and clients will allow us to meet our goals for sustained growth.”
Gilmore’s commitment to quality is evident in every aspect of our business. From customer service through manufacturing to assembly and testing, Gilmore’s high standard for quality continue to lead the industry. “Continuous investment in manufacturing technology and testing capacity will allow Gilmore to remain at the forefront for quality and delivery as the energy sector continues to evolve.”
