Proserv won the Offshore & Energy Award at the Lloyd’s List South Asia, Middle East and Africa Awards, presented at the stunning Palazzo Versace Hotel in Dubai on Tuesday 27 November.
This Award recognises organisations that demonstrate outstanding excellence in the provision of services to the maritime industry. Judges were looking for an exemplary record of achievement in business development, safety, efficiency, reliability and profitability.
In his opening speech, Richard Clayton, chief correspondent at Lloyd’s List, said ‘Global issues don’t always translate into regional concerns. This region has challenges of its own, and this evening’s awards target companies and individuals who have spent the past year tackling environmental, logistics, innovation, infrastructure, and other challenges. There are some inspirational winners in the South Asia Middle East and Africa region; this is your opportunity to meet them, share experiences, and hear about successes.’
The judges commented: “Proserv took on a complex operation to change production equipment in an exi
sting offshore tower. To do this on time and on budget is hugely impressive.”
Mr. Michael Purkiss, Proserv’s General Manager of Al Badie facility received the award at the presentation ceremony and said, “While we are very pleased with our accomplishment in being commended as the ‘Offshore and Energy Company of the Year’, we aim to continue to push the efficiency of our operations to an even higher level and create more value for our customers through reliable and customized services showcasing our ability to bring change in the industry.”
